Key Responsibilities
This is how you'll help us succeed
- FIU Leadership & Strategy
- Design and maintain AML program with a strategic vision toward compliance with bank policies and applicable laws, including staffing, policies, procedures, and technology integration.
- Develop and execute the FIU’s strategic roadmap in alignment with regulatory expectations and organizational goals.
- Transaction Monitoring & Investigations
- Oversee the configuration and optimization of transaction monitoring systems to detect suspicious activity across digital payment channels and other fintech products.
- Lead investigations into unusual or suspicious activity, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Manage the SAR process, including drafting, filing, and maintaining records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Deliver actionable insights, trend analyses and risk assessments to senior leadership and the Board through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to monitor FIU performance and risk exposure.
- Monitor emerging financial crime trends and adapt FIU strategies accordingly.
- Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable AML laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AML and financial crime trends, providing guidance across the organization.
- Based on corporate strategy and business objectives, provide risk management advice to senior management.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and law enforcement agencies during examinations and inquiries.
- Training & Awareness
- Develop and deliver AML training programs tailored to fintech operations and product teams.
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role will have:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in law, finance, or related field a plus.
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive AML experience, including leadership roles.
- Proven experience in building or managing a Financial Intelligence Unit or similar AML function.
- Strong understanding of transaction monitoring systems and investigative techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with regulatory examinations and audits.
- Familiarity with global AML regulations and cross-border financial crime risks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
