ConnexPay is seeking a Senior Credit and Risk Analyst that will help drive the design and execution of critical risk programs for the company with a focus on credit management. The role will interact, collaborate, and support all members of the organization along with third parties and customers. This individual will be instrumental in implementing new procedures, enhancing existing processes, and continuing to execute current requirements within the Risk and Compliance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the payments industry along with risk fundamentals including customer credit modeling, risk appetite, internal control frameworks, and fraud prevention. This role reports into the Head of Risk Management and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

This is how you'll help us succeed

  • Credit Analysis – Perform analysis of new customer applications to assess creditworthiness of new opportunities
  • Credit Program – Conduct periodic reviews of existing customers through collection of recent customer financial performance
  • Credit Reporting – Generate periodic reporting of key performance indicators to internal stakeholders
  • Contracts and Collections – Understand contract terms to ensure alignment with credit approvals and enforcement of uncollectable accounts
  • Merchant Underwriting – Review client profiles including all standard and enhanced screenings, prepare documents, liaison with bank partners, and facilitate management updates
  • Financial Risk Management – Monitor cash balance requirements, credit requests, funding approvals, internal/external communication, and tracking
  • Risk Management Support – Support internal ad-hoc needs by researching, advising, and opining on key risk decisions
  • Policy Management – Periodically enhance or develop new policies for ConnexPay relating to Risk Management and Compliance as well as other high-risk areas of the business
  • Third Party Risk Management – Collaborate with ConnexPay’s vendor owners on third party risk assessments for new and existing vendors

Qualifications

Applicants for this role will have:

  • BS / BA degree and relevant industry certifications (i.e. CAMS, CFE, CIA, CIPP)
  • Development and enhancement of credit and loan programs
  • Familiarity with structuring and analyzing risk and revenue on various credit terms
  • Experience evaluating customer financial statements and ownership collateral
  • Proven experience with KYC and AML principles
  • Organized with ability to plan and prioritize various deliverables
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills to convey risk scenarios and decisions to various audiences and recipients
  • Strong understanding of the payments industry including acquiring and issuing
  • Sufficient technical expertise to apply regulatory expectations to technical design
  • Commitment to company values and enhancing company culture
  • Experience of 5+ years in the aforementioned qualifications and responsibilities
