Key Responsibilities
This is how you'll help us succeed
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities with software companies that would benefit from embedded, managed inbound (AR) and/or outbound (AP) payments in their software solution. Sometimes referred to as vertical SaaS, these companies will be our client and embed our payment services into their solution for the benefit of their end customers. Embedded payment solutions are crucial for vertical SaaS companies as they improve user experience, drive customer retention, and generate additional revenue.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities; SaaS companies needing embedded, managed inbound and/or outbound payments in their solutions
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand prospect pain points and identify solutions
- Use data to accurately measure and report KPIs to build sales strategies that meet/exceed sales goals
- Work collaboratively with assigned implementation managers to ensure seamless transition for support and account management
- Collaborate with ConnexPay's Technology, Operations, and Finance teams to support new customer needs
- Attend relevant company or industry events to increase brand awareness, win new customers, and maximize sales conversion
- Stay current on AP automation trends, competitor offerings and SaaS marketplace dynamics
Qualifications
Applicants for this role will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Between 5-10 years of experience in roles such as direct/account executive/director of sales/partner sales
- Experience in payments, SaaS, embedded payments, financial technology, partner sales or ERP
- Understandingof the Payments Industry; specifically issuing Virtual Credit Cards (VCCs), ACH and check payments
- A quick learner willing to work both independently and as part of a team — with outside partners when needed
- Experience with developing go-to-market (GTM) strategies
- Strong client-facing skills that foster positive communications and trust with new customers
- Experience working with geographically dispersed, highly motivated, and innovative teams
- Familiarity with cloud-based tools (Office 365, SharePoint, HubSpot, etc.)
- A startup mindset with a positive attitude, highly resilient, flexible, and customer-oriented, with the ability to work independently
- Ability to travel 10% to 25% (when appropriate)
